Sister Carolyn Jackson

Mrs. Carolyn Johnson Jackson is a native of Florence County. She is the daughter of the late Isaac and Clara Johnson. She is a graduate of Wilson High School and Morris College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. She pursued graduate studies at Francis Marion University, Florence, South Carolina and the College of Charleston of Charleston, South Carolina.

She is a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church where the Reverend Bennie King, Jr. is the pastor. She is chairperson of Circle #3 Missionary Ministry, member and treasurer of the Sanctuary Choir, past advisor for the Junior Missionary, past teacher for Vacation Bible School, church historian, member of the Executive Board of the Pee Dee Baptist Association and the Woman's Pee Dee District Department, and advisor/coordinator of the Pee Dee Youth Department.

Mrs. Jackson's community affiliations include: Worthy Matron of Mt. Pisgah Sunbeam Chapter 318 Order of the Eastern Star, past financial secretary and Associate Matron of 318 OES, Mother Advisor and past treasurer of the Mary B. Thomas Girls Youth Circle, Most Noble Governor of Household of Ruth Lodge #5580 United Order of Oddfellows, treasurer of the District Grand Household of Ruth #22 State of South Carolina, member of the Mutual Aid Lodge #7, member of the Morris College Pee Dee Region Luns C. Richardson Scholarship Endowment Fund, and treasurer for the Morris College Alumni of Florence.

She is a retired elementary teacher from Dillon District Two. She has been employed part-time at Tommy's Wholesale Florist for twenty-five years.

She is the mother of two sons (Andrew and Ricky), and two granddaughters (Courtney and Brittany).

Mrs. Jackson loves the Lord and enjoys helping others.
