Mamie A. Tedder, Ushers Department: Tresurer

Mamie A. Tedder resides in Darlington, SC and is a member of Round O Baptist Church, where the Reverend Lacie L. Jones serves as pastor. She has served on the Pastor’s Aide Ministry, Mass Choir, Trustee Ministry, and is currently the President of the Ushers’ Ministry and Superintendent of Christian Education. Along with serving as Treasurer of the Pee Dee Baptist Ushers Department, she also serves as the Treasurer of the Darlington County Educational and Missionary Baptist Union.

Born in Darlington, SC, she graduated as Valedictorian from Mayo High School in 1974. She furthered her education at Francis Marion University and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics in 1977. She later returned to college and received her Master’s degree in Business Administration from Webster University, Myrtle Beach, SC in 2004.

She has worked in the school system in the area of finance for over twenty-eight years. She has volunteered in several capacities in the past including the “Adopt-A-Highway” and gave much time and effort with Harvest Hope Food Bank, Florence, SC.

She is married to Glenn Tedder and they are the proud parents of four children and have been blessed with seven grandchildren.

Her favorite scripture is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not on thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
