Mrs. Melissa Fulmore is a native and resident of Florence, South Carolina and a member and First Lady of the Historical Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in the Dovesville Community of Darlington, SC, where her husband, Reverend Samuel Fulmore, Jr., is the pastor. In this anointed union they have been blessed with four gifted children and two precious granddaughters. She accepted the call to ministry and began her ministry in June 29, 1997.
She is employed as a teacher with Florence Public School District One. She is a graduate of West Florence High School and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Limestone College, a Master’s in Education from Lesley University and a second Masters in Educational Leadership from Concordia University. She has received credit hours above her degrees from Francis Marion University. She a member of the Spiritual Life Ministry of the Woman’s Pee Dee District Department. At her church, she is the YWA Advisor and Youth Advisor for the Christmas and Easter Programs.
With all of this being said, she feels that her greatest accomplishment is when she dedicated her life to God. Throughout her ministry, she has taught other women young and old that getting to know God, studying his word, learning to lean on Him, and having a sincere relationship with God really works out for their good!!
Her favorite scripture comes from Proverbs 3: 4-6. “So shalt thou find favor and good understanding in the sight of God and man. TRUST in the Lord with ALL thine heart; and lean NOT unto thine own understanding. In ALL thy ways acknowledge him, and he SHALL direct thy paths!”
