Mrs. Virginia D. H. Robinson is the daughter of the late Mr. Daniel Hunter and the late Mrs. Thelma R. H. Brooks.
Mrs. Robinson attended the public schools of Florence School District One and graduated from Wilson High School in 1951. She attended Benedict College and North Carolina Central University where she received her Bachelor of Arts and Master's Degree in Elementary Education, respectively.
Mrs. Robinson, a member of Savannah Grove Baptist Church for over fifty years, has served as Sunday School teacher, Deaconess, usher, Director of Vacation Bible School, volunteer musician, financial secretary, and advisor for the Junior Missionary.
Mrs. Robinson was one of the youngest church musicians to serve in the Pee Dee area. Her professional career as a teacher began in Hartsville, South Carolina where she taught for four years. She taught in the Darlington county schools for two years and her career concluded at Wallace Gregg Elementary School in Florence, South Carolina. She was honored as Teacher of the Year in 1979. Mrs. Robinson retired June 1990 after teaching for thirty-five years.
She is very active in several organizations: Missionary Society, Eastern Star, United Order of Tents, Benedict College, Club, NAACP, the Mutual Aid Society, and musician for the Eastern Stars.
Mrs. Robinson is the devoted wife of Deacon Harry S. Robinson, Jr. They are the proud parents of two children: Sandra (deceased) and Cheryl Renee Robinson-Mitchell.
If one was asked to coin a motto for Mrs. Robinson, it would be: "Speak no evil, hear no evil; life is too precious to spend on evil thoughts. The Master expects a pleasing heart and mind!"
