Thought and Prayer for the Month

Contact: Waymon Mumford

Thought of the Month - April:

SCRIPTURE: Luke 6:18

Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Prayer - April:

Oh Lord of love, love is the eternal essence of your being and is the deepest and most wonderful of motions of the human heart. Teach us that we are shaped and formed by what we love. May we learn that love based on beauty dies when beauty fades. True love is always considerate. It never keeps records of wrongs. Make us see that love is a complex maintenence of integrity in relationships and places it own happiness in the happiness of another.

We thank you for the beauty of your love. It has no bounds. It is as mysterious as eternity, as high as heaven, and reaches its warm arms to every human being.

Amen.
