Ms. Deidre C. Odom, President, Woman

Deidre CeCelia Odom is the youngest of three children born to the last John Odom and Emma Odom of Darlington.  She is a graduate of Mayo High School, Darlington and Francis Marion College (now University) with a BS Degree in Chemistry.

Deidre is a member of the historic Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Darlington.  There she is a member of the Deaconess Ministry, Trustee Ministry, Finance Ministry, Senior Missionary, Advisor to the YWA, Youth Sunday School Teacher, Youth Advisor and a member of the Voice of Macedonia.

On the Pee Dee District Level, Deidre has served two terms as the Pee Dee District Young Woman's Auxiliary President.  On the State Level, she has served as the President Elect of the State Baptist YWA and President of the State Baptist YWA from June 2000-June 2005.  Deidre is also a faculty member in the Youth Division of the SC Baptist Congress of Christian Education.  She also is the Chairperson of the Business & Professional Committee of the Woman's Baptist E & M Convention of SC.

On the National Level, Deidre is a member of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc.  She serves as the Ambassador to the Woman's Baptist E & M Convention and was crowned National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. Woman's Auxiliary Queen 2021.

She has served as a Trustee Board Member at Morris College, Sumter, SC (2000-2005) and a Board Member of the Darlington County Habitat for Humanities (2009-2015).  She is currently a Board Member with Darlington County Long Term Recovery Group, Chairperson of the Darlington County Crime Watch Network and a Partner with Hold Out the Lifeline.

Deidre is retired from BCBS of SC and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Her motto is, "Do the best with what you have and let God do the rest".
