Pastoral Vacancy - First Friendship Baptist Church
Submitted on: October 20, 2021First Friendship Baptist Church continues its journey with the Lord in seeking our new Pastor. Established in 1885 and has offered the small-town and other communities a place of worship, peace and love. The search committee is prayerfully seeking applicants for a fulltime Pastor. God fearing individuals who are equipped to lead the church to new growth and further equip members to grow spiritually are encouraged to apply. The position requires gifts in leadership, communication, administration, and a heart to see people grow in knowledge of God and their identity in Christ. This person must be mature in their faith and be able to lead First Friendship Baptist Church congregation to and through the vision for the future. Also, must be a collaborator that is able to work with the Deacons, Trustees and members as well as grow the congregation's faith in God.
Pastor Job Description
Qualifications:
- Belief in and in-depth knowledge of the Baptist Doctrine
- Vision of First Friendship Baptist Church
- Teach, preach, and enhance Christian growth (Bible Study, officer training, new members classes and minister with adults and youth)
- Ability to work with all ministries and leadership
- Council and advise Church family
- Evangelistic community support and engagement
- Preferably married
- Prefer candidate between 35-65 years of age
Professional Qualifications:
- Ordained and licensed Baptist Missionary Pastor whose credentials are recognized by the Pee Dee Missionary Baptist Association
- Seminary training
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
- Technical skills
- Administrative leadership and financial development

- Copy of license and ordination certificate
Salary and Benefits:
The salary and benefits will be negotiated at the time of offer and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
