Laymen's Department
Minister Cecil Cunha is the Associate Minister at Central Baptist Church, Florence, SC under the leadership of the Reverend Waymon Mumford. He is married to Geraldine Briggs Cunha and is the father of three and grandfather of one.
He graduated from Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and is currently employed with SNB Construction Company.
Minister Cunha is a member of the Florence Planning Commission; former chaplain and recently elected secretary of the Pee Dee Baptist District Brotherhood; and is a certified Sunday School Teacher. As an active member of the Faith Based Initiative, he serves as a mentor in Florence School District One as well as assisting those who have been incarcerated through his involvement with the Prison Fellowship Ministries.
