Brother Levern Davis, Sr. is a graduate of Mayo High School in 1968. He is the husband of Mrs. Vermelle Davis and they have been married for 16 years. He is the proud father of three children and five grandchildren.
Brother Davis is a lifelong member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Darlington, SC under the pastoralship of the Reverend Eugene Thomas, Jr. He served for six years as chairman of the Deacon Ministry; currently serving as vice chairman.
He serves as the President of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Brotherhood, a member of the Pee Dee Baptist District Brotherhood Executive Board, and Assistant Treasurer. He is the Present Worshipful Master of Pleasant Grove Lodge #157 and is also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Lodge #339.
Brother Davis is a member of the National Association of Advancement of Colored People. He retired from Superior Machine Company of Florence, South Carolina in 2007 after working as a machinist for 40 years.
