Mrs. Brenda G. Addison, Minister of Music

Mrs. Brenda G. Addison was born in Florence, South Carolina to the blessed union of the late Reverend Jerry and Donella Green. Her spiritual heritage began at Greater St. Paul AME Church in the Claussen Community. She developed a special interest in music, particularly the piano, at the age of four.

Mrs. Addison is a graduate of South Florence High School and received a cosmetology diploma from the Chris Logan Beauty College in Florence, SC. She attended Coker College of Hartsville, SC; majoring in music and performing arts.

She had the opportunity to display her music for many organizations including The Young, Gifted and Black of Francis Marion University of Florence, SC; the Coker Singers of Coker College, Hartsville, SC; and was the musician for the Grand Chapter Order of Eastern Stars, Columbia, SC.

She is a member of the New Zion Baptist Church #1 of Timmonsville, South Carolina under the leadership of the Reverend Isiah J. Myers. She serves as the Minister of Music, and is a member of the Young Women's Auxiliary (YWA) and the Pastor's Support Ministry. Additionally, she is currently the musician for the South Carolina State Young Woman's Auxiliary and the Woman's Pee Dee District Department of the Pee Dee Missionary Baptist Association.

Mrs. Addison has three lovely daughters and two wonderful grandsons whom she cherishes. Her hobbies are reading, spending time with friends and family, shopping and traveling. Her greatest and deepest passion is her music and chasing after the things of God.

Her driven purpose in life is laboring for kingdom building with a destiny of making heaven her home. These goals have truly been a glorious mountain top experience. Her love for God and mankind will always be planted within her heart. Her favorite scripture is Deuteronomy 6:5: "And Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."
