Sister Radine P. Tate, President

Radine P. Tate is a member of Trinity Baptist Church where Reverend Doctor Calvin E. Robinson is Pastor.  Radine has been a member of Trinity for over fifty years having served in many ministries. Currently, Radine is serving as President of the Adult Usher Ministry, Secretary of the Unit Leaders Ministry, a member of the Personnel Committee, a member of the Budget Committee and a member of the James A. Miller Sunday School Class. Radine has taken many classes with the South Carolina Baptist Congress of Christian Education. She is also a charter member of Ruth E. Jordan Tent No. 219 United Order of Tents.

Radine is a 1967 graduate of Wilson High School, Florence, SC. She attended Claflin University Orangeburg, SC received Baccalaureate of Science (BS) degree and received Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (BLSW) from Winthrop College Rock Hill, SC and completed further social work workshops at Coker College, Hartsville, SC.

Her work experience for approximately thirty years was with the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs (SCDDSN), Pee Dee Center, Florence, SC with her last position as Director of Standards and Licensing. She retired from SCDDSN and went back in the workforce with Florence School District One serving one year at the District Office and five years at South Florence High School in the position Behavior Interventionist until her second retirement.

Radine is Director of East Sandhills District under The Garden Club of South Carolina, Inc., serving fifteen federated garden clubs and two garden councils in the district. She was installed by The National Garden Club, Inc. President in 2019 and will serve in this capacity until 2021. Her Theme: “Connecting and Gardening for Life”.

She shares her life and her God given work with her husband, William. They are the proud parents of two daughters and have been blessed with two granddaughters.
