Marilyn Lynette Tomlin-Woodberry is the daughter of the late Eugene & Bernice Smith Tomlin of Marion, South Carolina. She is married to Robert A. Woodberry.  She has two children, Glenn Maurice and Tory Williams, and a grandson Akill Williams who was reared in the home. 

Marilyn is a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Marion, SC.  She serves as Superintendent of the Sunday School Department, Education Coordinator, Chair of Children’s Church, President of the Food Giveaway Ministry, and Advisor to the Children’s Ministry.  She was a former member of the Young Adult Choir, Sunday School Teacher, and Cluster Leader #2 of the Woman’s Pee Dee District Department.

Marilyn is a 1974 graduate of Marion High School, a 2002 graduate of former Coker College, now Coker University in Hartsville, SC., with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. 

Marilyn is a retired educator of twenty-eight years in Marion School District. In this district, she served as Lead LCS, Coordinator of The First Steps Program, Media Specialist Assistant and Reading Interventionist 

Her favorite scripture is “I Can Do All Things through Christ Who Strengthens Me” (Philippians 4:13)
