Bridgett Peoples Mitchell was born February 3, 1977, to the late Dr. Henry B. Peoples and the late Etta Washington Peoples. She is a native of Timmonsville, SC and currently resides in Lexington, SC. She is the wife of Selwyn Mitchell and the mother of Tyrus, Tyler, Talya and Titus. She accepted Christ at the age of 9 and was baptized at the Marion Baptist Church, Salters, SC, in 1986.
Bridgett is a graduate of South Carolina State University in December of 1998. She went on to pursue a master’s degree in Counseling from Webster University in 2003 and a master’s degree in Human Resources from Webster University in May of 2010. In March of 2011, she accepted the call to ministry and was licensed to preach April 17, 2011, under the leadership of her father of the late Dr. Henry B. Peoples at Zion Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Timmonsville, SC. She has served as the youth leader, minister of music, associate minister, and assistant to the pastor. Her passion to preach and teach people about the Good News of Jesus Christ through relational ministry.
