Ms. Peggie Ham Gray, the third child of the late Mr. George and Mrs. Dorothy Wilson Ham, was born on June 23, 1953. She graduated from Johnson High School, Timmonsville, SC. She is the mother of one son, Mr. Derrick (Chicnone) McLeod and grandmother of five granddaughters and one grandson.

She is a life member of New Zion #1 Baptist Church, Timmonsville, SC (Sardis Community) where the Reverend I. J. Myers, is pastor. Her church affiliations include: Past President of the Usher Board Ministry, Youth Advisor for the Usher Board, Senior Missionary President, YWA Advisor, Member of the Pastor's Aid, Chairperson for the Culinary Committee, and a member of the Church Anniversary Committee and Homecoming Ministry.

Peggie is a member of the Registration and Banquet Committees of the Woman's Pee Dee District Department. She is presently employed with the Leatherman Senior Citizen Association as a van driver and is a certified nursing assistant.

Her motto is: "If I can help somebody, then my living will not be in vain" and her favorite scripture is Psalm 27:14, "Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!"
