Rev. Jordan Hunter, Advisor

Reverend Dr. Jordan Hunter, the son of the late Robert Sr. and Ida Mae Ketter Hunter; yet reared by Moses Jr. and Victoria Ketter, was born in Darlington County, South Carolina. He is married to the former Dr. Kathy Hemingway, the father of three children and the grandfather of three.

He is a 1978 graduate of Rosenwald High School, a 1980 graduate of Florence-Darlington Technical College, a 2013 graduate of Cathedral Bible College with a Bachelor’s of Divinity and a Master of Theology, and a 2014 graduate of Blessed Hope Community Bible Institute with a Doctor of Divinity: Christian Education degree.

Dr. Hunter, received his calling to ministry in 1995, was licensed and ordained by New Hopewell Baptist Church, under the leadership of his spiritual father, Reverend W. Calvin Daniels. He received and accepted his pastorate call to Palmetto Baptist Church on May 31, 2009.

He retired from McLeod Health as a Bio-Medical Equipment Technician in 2021.  He is a past member of the Pee Dee Missionary Baptist Association Executive Board.

Dr. Hunter believes, “God has given me a responsibility of serving his church by proclaiming his entire message.” He is committed to being obedient to God’s will and is elated to be a servant in the Kingdom; giving God all the honor, glory, and praise.
