Rev. Boyd McDaniels, Parliamentarian

Reverend Boyd McDaniels, Jr., is the son of the late Boyd and Olabell McDaniels of Darlington, SC. He is one of fifteen children.

He received his lower-level education from Darlington County, Richland County and Passaic County Public Schools. He graduated from Passaic Valley (Wayne, NJ), attended and graduated from Bergen Technical College, Hackensack, NJ. Studied at Dover Bible College, Dover, NJ and Morris College School of Religion, Sumter, SC.

 

Reverend McDaniels was married to the late Mamie L. McDaniels of Baltimore, MD. From this union, four children were born Boyd, III (deceased), Tara, Zackary and Connie. He is the proud grandfather of six grandchildren: Kyla, Bryan, Ryan, Kelsen, Chelsea and Kevis.

Religion Highlights:

  • Religion Foundation was built at Center Baptist Church, Darlington, SC where he served as an Usher, Trustee, and Pastoral Aide Committee. In 1983, he was anointed to preach the gospel under the later Major Robert Pickard and was ordained in 1984 by the St. John Association. Since being ordained, he has preached throughout the east coast, (SC, GA, NY, CT, to name a few.
  • Hopewell Baptist Church, Georgetown, SC. In June, 1985, he was called to pastor Hopewell. Under his administration, they were able to accomplish and put in place several systems that were beneficial to kingdom building such as: fourteen ministries, purchased eight acres of land, built an educational building, paved the church parking lot, and installed a marquee.

Served the Jerusalem Association in many capacities, Clerk, Trustee Board (Dean), Sunday School President, Vice Moderator, many boards and committees throughout        Georgetown County.

  • Mt. Zion Chapel Baptist Church, Pamplico, SC. In June 2014, was called to pastor at Mt. Zion Chapel. A member of the Pee Dee Missionary Baptist Association (former board member) and Chairperson of the Disaster Relief Committee. Presently, serving as Parliamentarian.
