Pastor William Calvin Daniels is a native of Pamplico, SC and is the son of the late Mr. Roy Daniels, Sr. and the late Mrs. Minnie R. Daniels.

He graduated from Gibbs High and Elementary School in Pamplico, SC and did further studies at Florence-Darlington Technical College in Florence, S.C. and Morris College in Sumter, S.C. 

Pastor Daniels is honored to have served in the United States Army for 3 years where his tour of duty included Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, N.C. as a U.S. Paratrooper and Mainz, Germany which allowed him the opportunity to visit Spain and Amsterdam, Holland.

He has served as pastor of New Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church for 39 years.  New Hopewell has recognized significant growth under the guidance of this energetic visionary which includes: a Fellowship Hall, complete renovation of the church sanctuary, the addition of Sunday School classrooms, the Wall of Unity, the acquisition of the New Hopewell Outreach Center and recently the addition of media technology. 

Under his leadership, the New Vision Community Development Corporation (NVCDC), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization) was also established and currently oversees a food pantry, the addiction recovery program, and a summer enrichment program.  NVCDC is also in collaboration with USDA/NCRS for a community garden and other farming initiatives. 

In collaboration with World Vision in 2020 New Hopewell/New Vision Community Development Corporation became a food distribution Hub and distributed over 1.5 million pounds of food.  In 2022 these entities also became the Hub for the distribution of household items. In nine months, approximately $540,000 worth of items have been distributed free of charge to the recipients’. 

Pastor Daniels currently serves as President of the New Vision Community Development Corporation and is a member of the Darlington County Long Term Recovery Group (DCLTRG).   He is a former Moderator for the Darlington County E&M Union, a Past President of the Pee Dee Baptist E&M Association Sunday School Department and Past Secretary of the United Brethren In Action (UBIA). In 2022 he was elected as Vice Moderator of the Pee Dee Baptist E&M Association.

Pastor Daniels’ passionate concern for humanity extends beyond the local and into international communities. He has traveled on the continent of Africa visiting the countries of Kenya, Zimbabwe, Malawi, South Africa, and Swaziland.  As a result of these travels he was instrumental in organizing United Brethren In Action (UBIA), an initiative that was orchestrated to assist indigenous ministries on the continent of Africa.

He resides in Pamplico with his wife of 55 years, the former Patricia Ann Bostick and has 4 adult children; Darren, Andrea, Gregory (Pam) and Eric (Tamera). They have 13 grandchildren; William, Safiya (deceased), Gabrielle, Jasmine, Andre, Anthony, Jesse (Alethia), Nicole, Christian (Tia), Rachel (Joshua), and 6 great-grandchildren; Kingston, Essence Brandi, Chandler, Gracelynn, Liam and Kendi.

He firmly believes that we are our brothers’ keepers and it is imperative that we look beyond our own salvation and TURNING VISION INTO REALITY! To God Be The Glory!!
