Deacon Grant Ketter, Jr., First Vice President

Deacon Grant Ketter is a member of New Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. He is active in many different ministries of the church to include: Chairman of the Deacon Ministry, Advisor of the Pastor's Aid Ministry, member of the Youth Advisory Staff, support member of the New Hopewell's Homebound Support Program, and has served as a Sunday School Teacher for over 30 years.

Grant is a member of the Mt. Rona Lodge #348 in Hartsville. He is Chaplain of the Pee Dee District Deacons, Vice President for the Hartsville/Darlington Morris College Alumni Chapter, Past Historian for the Pee Dee District Laymen's Department, and serves as the local and national President of the Ketter Family Reunion.

Deacon Ketter is a graduate of the famous Rosenwald High School in Society Hill. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management from Morris College, and an Associate Degree in Business Marketing from Florence-Darlington Technical College.

After 43 years of service as a computer operator, Grant retired from Galey and Lord Dyeing and Finishing Mill, Inc., Society Hill, South Carolina. He is married to Deaconess Sarah J. Ketter. This union is blessed with two children and five grandchildren. Grant and Sarah reside in Darlington and both of their children live in the Greenville, South Carolina area. He is the son of the late Grant Ketter, Sr. and Catherine Beaty Ketter.
