Pee Dee District YWA
Chanda Byrd is a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Timmonsville, SC, under the Pastoral leadership of Dr. Rev. Leonard L. Cain where she serves as the President of the YWA and the kitchen staff committee. She was recently elected to serve as Vice President for the Pee Dee District YWA.
Born in Florence, SC, she is the first born of two children to Carnell David and Hermenia Lowery. She graduated from Timmonsville High School in Timmonsville, SC in 1995 and is a 2012 graduate of Florence Darlington Technical College in Florence, SC where she earned an AS in Marketing; a 2016 graduate of Coker University in Hartsville, SC where she earned a dual BS degree in Business Management and Psychology. She recently graduated from Webster University in Myrtle Beach, SC where she earned a MA degree in Counseling. Recently, she was hired at McLeod Hospital in Florence, SC as Patient Account Representative/Business Analyst.
Chanda is engaged to Shaun F. Davis, together the couple have three children (Shontasia, Malasia, and Malonna), she has three bonus kids (Kaneisha, Tayshaun, and Javonte) and two goddaughters (Alexis and Makayla). Chanda enjoys traveling, shopping, reading, and entertaining family and friends.
Chanda’s favorite scripture is Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be discouraged. For the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
